01 — The client

The project

Elena Pliutava’s growth academy: live courses, recorded courses, workbooks, coaching and the year-long Advisory programme. Until then the site sold only live formats. Recorded webinars and workshops had to sell and deliver themselves, and everything a client does on the site had to flow into one CRM.

02 — Context

The task

A recorded course is a product that must sell without the author: pay, get access, watch in your account, see your progress. A separate platform elsewhere would split the site in two, with two logins and two client databases.

So the platform is built inside the existing site: the same menus, style and cart, the same account for courses, workbooks and consultations. And one CRM for everything: forms, purchases, consultation bookings, emails.

Catalogue: paid and free courses in one list, “Add to cart” or “Get access”.

03 — Solution

How it works

3.1

Catalogue and checkout through the cart

Recorded courses sit in the catalogue next to live ones: a cover in the academy’s watercolour style, category, price, “Add to cart”. Paid and free courses in one list; a free one opens with “Get access”. Payment goes through the same WooCommerce cart as the workbooks.

3.2

A course page that sells

Description, lesson-by-lesson contents with durations, level, number of students, update date and a price block on the side that stays visible on any screen. Lessons are locked before purchase: the visitor sees what they will get but gets nothing before paying.

3.3

The author sets up courses herself

The course builder in the admin area: description, cover, category, price, lessons with video and files, Q&A. A new webinar recording becomes a course in half an hour with no developer. For an academy that releases content every month, that is the point.

3.4

One CRM for the whole site

The Fluent stack around the platform: form enquiries, course and workbook purchases, consultation bookings via Fluent Booking land in FluentCRM with tags; emails to students go out via FluentSMTP. Elena sees one person in full: what they bought, what they booked, what they asked.

3.5

Inside the site, not next to it

No second domain, no second admin area: the platform lives on pliutava.com together with the blog, coaching and the Advisory programme. A student signs in once and sees courses, workbooks and consultation bookings in one account.

04 — Outcome

The result

Recorded courses sell and deliver without the author, and every student, subscriber and consultation client ends up in one CRM with a history. The author manages content herself; a developer is needed only for new features.

One of four projects for this client: the course platform, a course landing page, a job vacancies plugin and the Advisory landing page.
