About the project
A private practice on Burgstraße in central Munich: a family doctor with more than twenty years of experience, appointments only. The website had to meet today’s requirements without losing the look that long-standing patients know.
02 — Context
The brief
The practice works by appointment and offers a full check-up, video consultations and second medical opinions. Each service has its own audience and its own search query, and the patients speak four languages.
The site had to be brought up to today’s legal and technical standards while staying recognisable to regular patients. And booking had to run on its own, without a phone call during office hours.

03 — Solution
How it works
3.1
A calm presentation that patients recognise
A private practice in central Munich is a genre of its own, and it does not tolerate advertising dynamics. Restrained typography, plenty of white space, a muted palette. On the first screen the patient sees the doctor, the address and the office hours, not marketing.

3.2
Four languages, based on the actual patients
German, English, Russian and Ukrainian are not a formal list but the languages actually spoken in this practice. Every version is proofread, not machine-translated: on a medical website, precise wording matters more than speed.

3.3
Booking without a phone call
Doctolib is built right into the site: the “Termin” button is visible on every screen, and the patient picks a time at any hour of the day. Each service has its own page, so a visitor from search lands directly on the right one instead of a general list.

3.4
Everything served from the practice’s own server
Not a single request to Google Fonts or external CDNs: fonts, styles and scripts live on the practice’s server. Even the contact page shows a photograph instead of a Google map. For a medical site in Germany this is not fine-tuning: every external request hands the visitor’s IP address to a third party, and German courts have already ruled on exactly that.

3.5
A section the doctor runs herself
Articles on vaccinations, prevention and home visits bring new patients in from search, and the doctor publishes them without a developer. Each article answers a specific question people type into Google and ends with a booking link.

04 — Outcome
Result
The practice looks modern but has kept its own face: regular patients recognise the site. Booking runs around the clock, visitor data never leaves for external services, and the external requests that have already triggered legal letters in Germany are simply not there.
Any private practice in Germany that treats patients from different countries and does not want to risk data-transfer fines needs a site built this way.
