Raevsky — about
My superpower is
marketing, not code
I’m Sergey Raevsky. I have been building for the web for twenty-five years, I know plenty of clever words and technologies, and I write in several languages — from Python to Ukrainian. But that is not the advantage. The advantage is that I approach every client’s task as a marketer first.
01 — Short version
The advantage isn’t the years
Twenty-five years on the web, around three hundred projects in thirty countries — from Germany to Zanzibar. Websites, shops, CRM, automation, and now AI assistants too.
Experience and technology are tools. They say what I can build; they say nothing about whether your site will earn its keep. That is why the conversation starts before the mockup and before the choice of platform.
I live in Germany and work officially: a registered business (Gewerbe), a contract, proper invoices. I work solo — which means you are not paying for a grand office or for a large team your project does not need.
You pay for the outcome and talk directly to the person doing the work. No account managers, no hand-offs, no agency overhead.
My client isn’t buying
code or a pretty picture.
They are buying consulting, a strategy and a working tool. Code and design are only what the tool is made of.
02 — What you get
Consulting, strategy
and a working tool
Three things people actually come to me for. Everything else is just the way to deliver them.
- Consulting A read on your situation: who buys, how they decide, and where the money leaks on the way.
- Strategy What to do, in what order, and what should change once it goes live.
- A working tool A site that brings in enquiries rather than simply existing on the internet.
So the first conversation is about your business, not about the colour palette and the typeface.
03 — Team
And if you do need a team?
Then one appears. I have colleagues and partners — specialists in social, paid media and law. They run their own businesses and step in when a project genuinely calls for them.
Social and content
A partner takes over the social channels and a regular publishing rhythm when a project needs a steady flow of content.
Paid media
A paid traffic specialist: Google Ads, Meta and the local German platforms.
Law
A German-qualified lawyer for when you need a real review rather than my general reasoning.
04 — AI assistants
And 23 AI assistants
in my stack
I work solo — but not alone. Twenty-three AI assistants handle the routine: they answer, write, check and hunt for errors. They do not get tired, they do not miss deadlines, and they cost less than the same hours from a human.
Sales and first contact
They answer enquiries around the clock, ask the qualifying questions and hand the lead to me with the context already gathered.
Development and testing
They write and review code, catch errors before a client ever sees them, and keep the technical documentation current.
Content and routine
Copy, product descriptions, translations, reports — the work that used to swallow whole days.
Security
A dedicated bot scans the site for vulnerabilities and helps close them.

05 — Your site
I won’t tell you
to tear it all down
and start again
Almost everyone who arrives with an existing site has heard that line. I work differently.
- Any content management system
- I know just about every CMS in use and can maintain and support your site whatever it was built on. Plain HTML with no admin panel included.
- A site you generated with AI
- If you built it yourself with AI, I won’t send you away the way other developers would. I will clean it up and fix what is broken.
- And turn it into a tool
- So that it is not just a set of pages but a working sales tool — the one the whole thing was for.
- Everything is in your name
- Domain, hosting, analytics and ad accounts, all credentials. You can move to another contractor whenever you like and take everything with you.
What I don’t take on: design without strategy. A handsome mockup with no idea where the customers come from is not my job.
06 — Compliance
And I keep up with the law
I work from Germany and know the local requirements from the inside. The legal frame here is tighter than in many markets: a font loaded straight from Google, or a form without consent, gets you a lawyer’s letter rather than a friendly note.
There are roughly ten million rules and they keep changing. Listing them is pointless: any such list goes stale before the site ships, and it quietly implies that everything not on the list has been ignored.
What works instead: requirements built into the process rather than bolted on as a checklist in the final week. Consent and data, the legally required pages, accessibility, honest forms — your site will be in reasonable shape for what is expected of it.
And this is not only about Europe. My clients are in different countries, so I follow more than GDPR: the rules in the US, Canada and other markets differ, and a site selling there has to account for them.
None of which replaces advice from a qualified lawyer: I prepare the site technically and leave the interpretation of the law to people who specialise in it.
07 — Beyond work
There is plenty to talk about
I am not only a marketer. I read, I travel a great deal — castles, museums, small towns that later turn into good stories — and I run a YouTube channel.
I’m glad you made it to this page, and that I’m interesting to you as more than a web professional.
