A handyman in Saskatoon: out of word of mouth and onto an address

Scope

Website, services, gallery of work

An independent tradesman: from mounting a television to renovating a kitchen. Work arrived through acquaintances, and the whole business rested on other people’s memory.

The task

A handyman has no brand and no sales team. He has a reputation that lives in the heads of his neighbours and travels by word of mouth.

That works while there are enough acquaintances. Beyond that you need an address you can give to someone who does not know you — one that explains on its own what you do and how well.

The approach

The gallery of work is the main argument. In this trade people hire with their eyes. Photographs of finished jobs convince more than any description.

Services named the way customers name them, not the way a trade directory does. People search for “mount a TV”, not “installation of wall-mounted equipment”.

A short path to contact. An independent tradesman is chosen quickly, and an extra step between “I like this” and “I’m messaging him” costs more here than any elegant animation.

The result

The tradesman now has an address he can put in a listing, a neighbourhood group or on the side of his van — and it works on its own from there.
